Altona Wigen marks 93rd

Darrin Barry of Cash Construction, LaCrosse, has been re-roofing the Country Bible Church near Dusty. Last week, he was working on the steeple.

Linda Hennigar joined her mother, Altona Wigen, for lunch at the Courtyard last Thursday on Altona’s 93rd birthday. On Saturday, the women celebrated the birthday in Sandpoint at the home of Altona’s sister, Dagmar and Marv Kirking. Also attending the celebration were Goldie Foss, Everett; Gracia Stueckle, Seattle; Dave and Elaine Hogan, Richland; and Mick and Jill Lee and their son Bryan, Spokane.

Charleen Vogler Wilde of California, and her son, daughter-in-law and grandsons, Lincoln, Rachel, Cole and Angus Wilde of Portland, were weekend visitors of her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Kathy Vogler. They had hoped to watch harvest operations but were thwarted by last week’s rain.

Jerry and Ruth Martin hosted a family reunion in their home from Thursday through Monday. Those attending included Charles and Anne Martin, Fond du Lac, Wis.; Mary Martin, Puyallup; Lawson and Ruth Martin Van Kuren and children, Cheney; Jim and Janet Martin Leroue and family and grandchildren, Connell. Jared and Heather Martin joined them after spending a week in Sturgis, S. D. at the motorcycle rally.

Lucky and Joan Myrick were in Eatonville over the weekend to help friends Mary Lou and Ivan Hale celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. While there, they also attended the Eatonville Art Festival. On their way home, they stopped in Spanaway to pick up their grandson Cameron Myrick, son of Rick Myrick, who will spend a week with them in Dusty.

David and Phyllis Stueckle attended the Penawawa reunion at Warm Springs Ranch Saturday. Sunday, they visited with Marcus and Reita Stueckle in Colfax.
