Vows by Montana lake unite Whitne Gordon, Jared Doneen

Whitne Gordon, daughter of Randy and Tracy Gordon, Swan Lake, Mont., and Jared Doneen, Oakesdale, son of Tim Doneen of Oakesdale and Sharon Doneen of Spokane, were married June 27, 2009, at the Gordon family lakehouse in Swan Lake, Mont.

The bride’s uncle, Mark Gordon, officiated.

They were married on the lawn next to the lake under a white archway with blue tulle and baskets of flowers on each side, tables had white cloths and vases with blue flowers, blue beads and candles scattered on the tables.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white taffeta A-line gown with thin lace trim straps and a beaded and embroidered bodice. She carried a bouquet of white roses with blue delphiniums.

Maid of honor was Brittany Brendsel, best friend of bride from Bigfork Mont. She wore a knee length white dress with bright blue and black flowers, spaghetti straps, black sash. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and blue delphiniums.

Best man was Mike Harris, Seattle.

Ushers were brothers of the couple, Seth Gordon, Swan Lake; Brandon Doneen, Spokane, and Nathan Doneen, Cheney.

Flower girl Claire Doneen, cousin of groom from Shoreline, wore a white beaded dress and carried a blue satin basket of white rose petals

Ring bearer was Jason Anderson, friend of bride from Kalispell Mont.

The reception was outside the bride’s lakehouse with a large lawn for the tables and a patio for the dance floor. The couple’s first dance was to “I’ll always be right there” by Bryan Adams

A second reception was at the home of Tim Doneen, in Oakesdale, July 18.

Both attended the Art Institute of Seattle. The bride graduated with a degree in fashion design and currently works as a technical designer for a small apparel company in Bozeman, Mont. The groom graduated with a degree in video production and currently is a freelance editor.
