Lowes will mark golden anniversary

Willard and Anne Lowe will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 29, in Endicott at the Gun Club with an open house from noon to 4 p.m.

The Lowes have made their home in Endicott since 2002.

Both graduates of Colfax High School, Lowe and Anne Pierce were married Oct. 3, 1959, in Colfax.

After he earned a degree in forestry at Washington State University, they resided in various locations in Idaho and Alaska while he served with the U.S. Forest Service.

He retired in 1992, and she retired from the Alaska court system as deputy magistrate/clerk of court at Ketchican in 1996.

They then moved to Priest Lake and resided there until moving to Endicott.

Hosts for the reception will be their daughters and spouses, Dee Anne and Douglas Hill of Kent and Stephanie and Arthur Dever of Melbourne, Fla., and their families.

They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
