It is always a good idea to have Cholesterol checked regularly by your physician or practitioner. So, September being National Cholesterol Educational Month is a good time to get your cholesterol checked and to take steps to lower it if it is high.
This month is also a good time to learn about lipid profiles and about food and lifestyle choices that help you reach personal cholesterol goals.
There has been much written on the subject of cholesterol (high) that affects over 65 million Americans. It is a serious condition that increases your risk for heart disease. The higher your cholesterol level the greater the risk. You can have high cholesterol and not even know it. Lowering cholesterol levels that are too high lessens your risk for developing heart disease and reduces the chance of having a heart attack or dying of heart disease.
Please stop by and see our booth at the Fair next week. As a courtesy we will be offering blood pressure checks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday. See you there!
