Gospel group will sing at Country Bible Church

Sunday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m., Obadiah and the Old Testaments will perform southern gospel music at the Country Bible Church, three miles south of Dusty on Highway 127. Group members are Obahiah Neasham, lead singer, Kent Wagoner, Ken Sheldon and Guy Stauffer, accompanied by Teola Sheldon on the piano.

They are from Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church, a rural church in Rosswell, Idaho, near Parma.

Morning worship services at the Country Bible Church will not be conducted Sunday, Sept. 13. Everyone is encouraged to attend the church services at 10:30 at the Palouse Empire Fair.

Many locals attended the musical performance of Wylie and the Wild West and the humorous offerings of cowboy poet Baxter Black at Hooper Sunday. The fund raiser was sponsored by the LaCrosse Arts and Beautification Council.

Bo Claassen, son of Wes and Jen Claassen, camped with the Onecho Youth Group at Boyer Park over the weekend.

Wesley Banks was an overnight guest at the home of his grandmother, Linda Hennigar, last Wednesday and Thursday.

Tom and Julie Kyllo and Khristin and Tommy, Vienna, Virginia, were week long visitors of Tom’s mother, Carol Kyllo. Joining them for a Sunday of visiting were Tom’s siblings and their families, Tim and Penny Kyllo, Naples, Idaho; and Wayne and Tami Haas and Lexi, Lauren and Logan, Spokane; also Carol’s niece, Tim and Jimmi Kaye Hinger and Blake, Walla Walla.

Jerry and Ruth Martin have moved out of the Altona Wigen house in Dusty and into a house in LaCrosse.

David and Phyllis Stueckle were in Coeur d’ Alene Saturday to help their great-granddaughter Aurora celebrate her first birthday. They stayed overnight and returned home Sunday.
