Power from the
Palouse Empire Threshing Bee’s Case steam engine is transferred to its Red River stationary thresher by a large belt Monday. Belts and chains link the thresher’s internal mechanisms off the main drive belt from the steam engine. Water and firewood are consumed by the steamer. Cut wheat is fed into the top of the thresher from header box wagons. When it all works together, grain and chaff come out of the thresher. Charles Knaack is the operator. More photos on Page 7.
