Colfax rubs Gorilla lead, bows to Lakeside Eagles

Colfax volleyball launched their season Saturday with a five-game home win over Davenport in a non-league sampler. The Gorilla girls put the Bulldogs in a 1-2 hole, but Colfax battled back to tie it up at 2-2 and then staked out a lead in the fifth game decider.

Tuesday the Bulldogs traveled north to play Lakeside, a traditional foe from the A division days. They made the trip with two middle blockers out of the lineup and bowed to a tough Eagle club in four games.
