NOTICE OF CLOSING REGISTRATION BOOKS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the registration books for the registration of voters within Whitman County, Washington, will be closed for the GENERAL ELECTION to be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009, against original registrations and transfers of registration from one precinct to another precinct within said County, on the evening of September 29 2009.

The books will reopen on the morning of November 4, 2009.

The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2) (c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.

This MDNS is issued after using the optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355. The lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date of publication. Written comments on this determination must be received by 12 noon on October 9, 2009.

Mitigation Measures:

1. Storm water runoff and erosion control measures should be in place and approved by a licensed engineer in the State of Washington for this development. Refer to site plan.

TOWN OF OAKESDALE, WASHINGTON

SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO 498 AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 194,407,460, AND 495, AND OAKESDALE MUNICIPAL CODE 2.16.040, 050, AND .140.

On 09/08/09 the Oakesdale Town Council adopted Ordinance No. 598 amending Oakesdale Municipal Code Section 2.16 as summarized below:

Section 2.16.040 -Late Fee as amended eliminated the percentage late fee and provides that no late fee will be charged when the delinquent bill is less than $10.00.

Section 2.16.050 - Lien For Unpaid Bills as amended makes a few wording changes which do not affect the present procedure and added the provision requiring all costs for serving shut off notices to be added to the delinquent account.

The full text of Ordinance 598 is available for viewing at the Oakesdale Town Hall at 105 N 1st Street or will be mailed upon request to the Town Clerk, P.O. Box 246, Oakesdale, Washington 99158.

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after it, or a summary thereof, is published in the official newspaper of the Town of Oakesdale as required by law.
