Dinner guests at the Danahers

WSU parents in this area normally extend an open dinner invitation to campus friends, but the scene was a little different at the home of Tim and Heidi Danaher last July.

Brian Danaher, Bulldog grad now playing offensive guard on the WSU football team, arrived with fellow members of the Cougar offensive line for one of the “largest” gatherings of the barbecue season.

The Cougars visited just before the formal practice sessions started for the season.

Left to right are Chris Prummer, Renton; Mica Hannam, Gig Harbor; B.J. Guerra, Moses Lake; Steven Ayers, Bellingham; Mike Bruce, Spokane; Kenny Alfred, Gig Harbor; Brian Danaher, and Andrew Roxas, Sun Valley, Calif.

The linemen autographed a WSU logo which has been painted on the barn door.

Heidi Danaher reported she had planned for as many as 16 to arrive, so that meant she had eight “extra” steaks.

No problem.
