Wounded deer left in road

The sheriff’s office received a report at 7:35 p.m. last night of a deer being shot and left wounded in the roadway in the Union Center area. Deputy Randy Zehm responded to the call and dispatched the wounded animal, according to the sheriff’s log.

Escaped goats on the loose

The sheriff’s office received a report last Wednesday night that a herd of goats had escaped their pen and were walking along the Colfax/Palouse Highway. The owner of the goats was reported to be en route to put them back in their pen.
