Art and Colene Sager flew to Ritzville Saturday for the Flying Farmers annual business meeting and election of officers. Art was re-elected as president for another year and Colene was elected newsletter editor.
Carol Kyllo and Paula Laurens, Endicott, hosted a baby shower Saturday, Sept. 19, for Brenda Camp at the Kyllo home. Thirty guests attended. The baby is due to arrive the first part of November.
Sunday, the Kiniksu Cutting Club sponsored a Marlene Dreger memorial cutting competition at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds. There were 88 entries in 14 divisions. Kim Gustafson and Tim Johnson participated as “turn back” riders.
Byron Krom of Walla Walla, son of the late Alvin Krom, was a Sunday visitor of cousins Dale and Vicki Broeckel and Mike and Michelle Carver at the Broeckel home. Later, he also visited with his aunt Berniece Krom and cousin Sharry O’Hearne in Colfax.
Ann Marie Stueckle and daughter Aurora, Coeur d’ Alene, were overnight guests Saturday of her grandparents, David and Phyllis Stueckle.
Clara Stueckle Stacy, 85, died Sept. 29, at her home in Yakima. She was born in the house that is currently the Parsonage Bed and Breakfast in Dusty. She was the sister of the late Edwin Stueckle. Graveside services will be at West Hills Memorial Park in Yakima at 10 a.m. on Monday Oct. 5.
