Second half collapse costs ‘hawks

Despite hanging tight through one half with one of the dominant state B football teams in the state, the Nighthawks of Tekoa-Oakesdale -Rosalia let DeSales slip back to Walla Walla with a 35-14 win Friday night at Rosalia.

The two teams entered halftime knotted at 7-7, but the Irish capitalized on Nighthawk miscues after intermission to put up 28 second-half points.

“We could have had that game, we should have had that game,” said TOR Coach Ken Lindgren. “But you can’t afford any mistakes when you’re up against a good team. You have to play tight for all four quarters.”
