Three teams with strong records added wins in the Tuesday rounds of the SE volleyball league. Colton, SJE-Endicott, and Tekoa/Oakesdale are all stacking up strong win seasons.
Colton will host LaCrosse/Washtucna tonight. The Eagles travel to Rosalia, and Tekoa/Oakesdale hosts Asotin at Oakesdale.
ST. JOHN/ENDICOTT Tuesday night advanced their SE-North record to 4-1 with a three-game win over LaCrosse/Washtucna in a neighborhood battle at St. John. The two clubs this season have traded wins in tournament matchups.
Line score for the Eagles win was 25-17 25-23 and 25-23.
“We stayed aggressive, and hit our passes so we could run some plays,” Coach Megan Doering said.
Kelly VanLith had 14 digs for the Eagles and Katie Jensema put up 15 assists. Kelsey Simon had 10 kills.
For the Tigercats, Chelsea McKay had 10 kills and seven digs, and Kirsten Stubbs had 11 assists and 3 aces. Della Fleming put up two blocks.
LaCrosse/Washtucna sustained a three-game loss in a non-leaguer last Thursday at Troy, 25-16 25-21 and 25-22.
TEKOA/OAKESDALE Tuesday rolled to Pomeroy and sunk the Pirates in three straight, 25-19 25-18 and 25-14. Desiree Chappell hit 17 kills and 7 aces against the Pirates and had 12 digs.
Kaela Dewan put up 12 assists.
The win puts the `hawks record at 6-1 today with their lone loss to the LW Tigercats.
COLTON Tuesday took out Rosalia in three games on their home court. Line score for the league round was 25-10 25-11 and 25-11.
Haley Moser hit 20-20 off the service line and Kelsey Moser had three kills. Hollie Kramer hit three blocks and three aces.
Briann Maley had three kills and two blocks for the Spartans.
Colton last Thursday rolled to Touchet and took out the chiefs in four games, 25-20 23-25 25-25 and 26-24.
Kelsey Moser put down 12 kills at Touchet and Haley Moser and Mikayla Nygreen each had 16 assists.
The Wildcats are now 5-1 in the SE-North loop.
ASOTIN Tuesday dropped Garfield/Palouse in four games, 25-18 25-17 23-25 and 25-11. Holly Leendertsen had the top stat for the Vikings with 18 digs. Annie Leendertsen had three kills and Kaycie Adair had nine assists at against the Panthers.
Thursday, Liberty /Christian out-battled the Vikings, also in four-games, at Palouse, 25-12 25-22 23-25 and 25-9. Anne Leendertsen put down nine kills and put up 10 block for the Vikings and Kaycie Adair had 15 digs and 13 assists.
