Gravel shoulders repair Chipman Palouse Trail

Gravel will be placed along two miles of the Bill Chipman Trail next month. Approximately 150 cubic yards of gravel will be put down to finish repairs recently completed by North Central Construction (NCC).

NCC offered to repair a segment of the trail after it was damaged two years ago when the construction company was contrator for the project to expand the Moscow-Pulllman Highway to four lanes.

“They drove heavy equipment up and down it,” said Justus Barton, Whitman County parks operation and trail coordinator. “It broke some of the asphalt along the shoulders in a few places. There was just...
