Dick and Helen Appel recently returned from a cruise to Alaska. The trip was a gift from their children for their 50th wedding anniversary.
The Appels also welcomed their newest grandson Sept. 14. Lucien Nathan Kunkel is the son of Caroline and Rob Kunkel of Pullman. He joins sister Elly and brothers Zack and Kade.
Catherine Goff, Dusty, welcomed her first grandchild Sept. 9. Greyson Michael is the first child of Catherine’s son David who lives in the Seattle area. The baby weighed six pounds, nine ounces at birth.
Catherine Goff participated in the 19th Annual Tour Des Lac, Spokane to Coeur d’Alene and back, a fun cycling event Sept. 19 and 20,
The first day she rode 66 miles from Coeur d’Alene to Harrison and then took a two hour ride by boat back to Coeur d’Alene. She spent Saturday night with friends. The next day, she rode her bike 40 miles from Coeur d’Alene back to Spokane.
Logan Haas, son of Tami and Wayne Haas of Spokane, spent from Thursday to Sunday last week visiting with his grandmother, Carol Kyllo.
Denise Kendall, Tacoma, and Doreen Riedner, Genesee, spent the weekend at the home of their father, Oscar Broeckel. Saturday evening dinner guests included Brian and Angela Broeckel and Karen Broeckel.
Kim and Cindy Pitts spent the weekend winterizing their cabin on Priest Lake.
