In front of a three-town homecoming crowd, the Tekoa/Oakesdale/ Rosalia notched their first league win, a 26-6 blowout of winless Dayton, Friday night at Oakesdale.
The Nighthawks came out flat and allowed Dayton to take the opening kickoff, drive the length of the field and notch points on a seven-yard dash by QB Colton Bickelhaupt.

TOR Coach Ken Lindgren said that Bulldog score was a wakeup; his team entered the game expecting an easy roll over the guests who had scored just 22 points all season.
The ‘hawks answered back with a drive that ended in a one-yard dive by Scott Eberle.
“We fell behind, but we just stuck with our game plan and our kids turned it around,” said Lindgren. “You can’t ask for more than that.”
Tight end Brandon Hovde reeled in a 13-yard laser from QB John Kuhn in the second quarter and the ‘hawks began the homecoming halftime festivities with a 13-6 edge.
The two teams swapped fumbles to start the second half, but Nighthawk halfback Zach St. John found the end zone on a six-yard burst to put the game at 19-6.
Hovde fell on an errant Dayton snap to cap the scoring and the Nighthawks put it on cruise control to ice the win.
TOR next travels to the Tri-Cities to face 1-5 Liberty Christian, which has not won a league game in three tries.
The Patriots last week fell 54-6 to Asotin, but Lindgren said he expects them to come fired up Friday.
He said Asotin Coach Sal Lopez warned him LC hits hard and fast and puts in a physical attack.
