NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Whitman County Commissioners have set the date of Monday, November 2, 2009, at 10:45 a.m.

in their Chambers, Courthouse, Colfax, WA, for a proposed amendment to the 2009 Whitman County budget.

At that time, it is requested all department heads/elected officials requesting an amendment be present.

The total amount of the proposed amended budget is approximately $48,453,231.

The Port of Whitman County intends to apply for an Innovation Partnership Zone grant through the Washington State Department of Commerce.

Said grant is in the amount of $500,000 and will be used to extend municipal water & sewer lines from Pullman, WA, to the Pullman Innovation Partnership zone expansion area at the intersection of State Highway 27 and the Pullman-Albion Road near Pullman, WA. Said extension will provide municipal water & sewer services to the Port owned property to foster future economic development interests within Port District boundaries.

Whitman County Fire District No. 8, LaCrosse, Wash., is accepting sealed bids for the following surplus vehicle: 1962 International Harvester Loadstar 1600 fire truck, serial number SB-247320, 4x4, 19,000 lbs GVW.
