Raffle to assist Swank family

Raffle tickets for a drawing held at halftime of the football game on Oct. 30 are available for $5 each at the Bank of Whitman. The raffle is for a nights stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Spokane and a $100 gift certificate at Klinkerdaggers Restaurant. All proceeds will benefit the family of Drew Swank.

Tryouts for the Missoula Children’s Theater were Monday and several LaCrosse students were cast in the production of Robinson Caruso. Performances will be in Washtucna Friday at 1 p.m. and on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Judging for the Halloween costume contest will begin at 4:30 Friday at the Teapot Cafe sponsored by Jasper Trucking.

The business association will begin serving chili at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the carnival will begin at the fire station. When all the trick or treaters hear the fire whistle, they will hustle on down to the fire station for fun and games.

Women of the Methodist Church are busy planning their annual turkey dinner scheduled for Nov. 4 p.m. and at 5:30 p.m.
