INVITATION FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of the Town of Garfield in a sealed envelope clearly marked "SECOND STREET WATERLINE REPLACEMENT" located at City Hall, PO Box 218, 405 W. California, Garfield, Washington 99130, until 2:00 p.m. local time November 30, 2009, for the replacement of the existing 4" leaded joint pipe with a new 8" service main for approximately 2,140 lineal feet as well as restore the street following water line replacement, along Second Street from California Street to Parker Avenue.

Rejection of Bids: The Town Council of the Town of Garfield may by resolution reject any and all bids and make further calls for bids in the same manner as the original call. The Town of Garfield also reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received. Bids received after the aforementioned time will not be considered.
All work must be completed within 180 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages shall be $500/day.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City of Tekoa, Washington in the Council Chambers at 419 North Washington Street on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 6:30 PM.
The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low- and moderate-income persons and persons residing in the City of Tekoa area.
