Rosalia Fall Festival winners

ROSALIA

Judy Maley won the Rosalia Fall Festival pumpkin carving contest with her elfen-eared gourd last week. Chad Fanara’s pumpkin took second place.

Coloring contest awards went to various age groups. Jacob Goyke won the age two and under division, Anna Pittman won for age three and up, Cassin Pittman won for kindergarten and first grade, Maisie Burnham won for second and third grades, and James Clucey won for fourth and fifth grades.

A reminder: Rosalia Veterans will conduct a Veteran’s Day service next Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial behind the historic Texaco Service Station.

Father and son Air Force veterans SFC Allen and Sgt. Ben Ashworth will be the guest speakers. Allen Ashworth has served two tours of duty in Iraq; Ben has served one.

Rosalia School choir will sing patriotic songs, and the rifle team of VFW Post 7815 will fire three volleys.

Rosalia Lions are now taking reservations for the Christmas season greeting board. Reservations for a greeting are available for $5 from Mike Day or at US Bank.
