Whitman County Auditor Eunice Coker thinks county commissioners erred when they froze the salaries of seven county employees last month.
Coker Oct. 27 wrote commissioners that she was “very disappointed” in their Oct. 19 decision to freeze wages for those employees.
The freeze applied to seven employees, and amounted to a savings of just over $2,000 for the remainder of the year.
The seven affected employees are in supervisory positions that do not qualify for union representation.
