Farmers talk direct seeding, biofuels with Sen. Cantwell at St. John meet

Sen. Maria Cantwell swung by St. John Saturday to chat over concerns with farmers – particularly concerns about a new federal law which credits industries that pollute less.

Farmers from the St. John area voiced their concerns about the nation’s cap and trade law, which simultaneously punishes and rewards farmers for their roles in the carbon cycle.
