Nighthawks team pays tribute after wreck takes captain’s life

Three communities gathered at the Oakesdale football field Friday night to remember Zach Smith, a Tekoa High School senior whose life was taken in a car accident during the night of Nov. 3.

Zach was the student body president at Tekoa High and was co-captain of the Tekoa, Oakesdale and Rosalia Nighthawk football team.
