Charges allege teacher threat

A charge of harassment with a threat to kill was filed Nov. 12 in juvenile court against a 14-year-old Colfax boy. A report by Colfax Officer Robert Wride, filed with the charge, alleges the youth was expelled under emergency provisions from Colfax High School after making threats against a teacher.

The account said the youth had been making racial comments in class and was told by the teacher to keep quiet or leave. He opted to leave the class and allegedly made the threats in the presence of another teacher.

He has been summoned to appear today, Thursday, in juvenile court....
