The members of the Colfax brass band are industriously practicing and improving rapidly. They are now able to render a number of pieces to their satisfaction.

Glove fights are now prohibited, they being regarded as brutal and demoralizing.

The conductor of one of the trains running to Palouse Junction informs us that letters intended for Palouse City are frequently left off at the junction.
