Keith Crawford
Graveside services for Keith (Frog) Crawford, 71, Colfax resident for 46 years, were Saturday morning, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Colfax Cemetery. A reception followed at the Colfax Golf Course.
Mr. Crawford died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Whitman Hospital & Medical Center.
Born April 7, 1938, in Cascade, Idaho, to Morris and Lois Downend Crawford, he moved with his family to Boise where he attended school. Having spent the summers with his grandparents in McCall, Idaho, he moved at the age of 16 to live with them in McCall and graduated from McCall-Donnelly High School in 1956. He participated on several sports teams in high school and played the drums in the high school band. Following graduation, he returned to Boise and then moved in 1963 to Colfax where he has made his home since. In 1966 he married Mary Peebles and they made their home in Colfax where they raised their family.
He began his career in agriculture by working for a local farmer. He then went to work for Roger Brothers Seed Co. and then Whitman County Growers where he worked as a warehouseman for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed family, friends and visiting with people all around town. He also enjoyed all types of sports, especially following the kids sporting events. He had a zest for life as well as a special attachment to his dog, Anna.
He is survived by his two daughters, Traci and Tana Crawford; his sister Betty (Charles) Steiner; and his good friend and former wife, Mary R. Crawford.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Trudilyn.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Whitman Hospital & Medical Center Foundation or to the Colfax High School Foundation.

Aurora Orlandi
A funeral service for Aurora Rose Orlandi, eight-month-old daughter of David and Ashley (Schu) Orlandi of Colfax was Wednesday morning at the Colfax Nazarene Church. A private family graveside service followed in Spokane.
The baby died unexpectedly last Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, after being taken in an ambulance to Whitman Hospital in Colfax.
She was born Feb. 27, 2009 in Pullman. Her father works at the Colfax Arbys and her mother, Ashley, remained at home to raise Aurora and her two-year-old brother, Gaberiel.
Aurora attended church with her mom and brother at the Colfax Nazarene Church and brought joy to everyone she met with her smile. In addition to her parents and brother, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Melody Lynch in Pullman; maternal grandparents, David and Holly Schu of Colfax; great-grandparents Mark and Roseanne Bessermin, Spokane, Nancy Schu of Rosalia, Richard Schu, Oakesdale, and Larry Powell of Grants Pass, Ore.
Memorial gifts may be made to the family.

Paulette A. Cone
A memorial service for Paulette A. Cone, 65, will be Saturday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Princeton, Idaho, with the Rev. Kathy Kramer officiating. She died Nov. 12, 2009 at her home near Potlatch.
Born March 27, 1944, at Potlatch, to Vincent G. and Lucille Dixon Cone, she attended Potlatch Schools and graduated from the Potlatch High School in 1962. She worked as a sales clerk for J. C. Penney in Lewiston for 34 years until poor health forced her retirement in 2004. She moved back to Potlatch in 2005.
Never married, she was a special aunt to three nieces and five nephews.
She enjoyed attending sports events and school activities. A talented cook, she helped organize numerous food related events and family holiday dinners. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes, baby items, kids clothes, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, western outfits and other outfits. She also enjoyed yard sales, clearance rack shopping, card and casino games.
Surviving are one brother, Del Cone, Princeton; two sisters, Velda (Jerry) Ross, Princeton, ID, Linda (Cliff) Osborne. Potlatch.
The family suggests memorials go to the Potlatch Memorial sidewalk fund or the Scenic Six Flag fund in care of K. Cada at the U.S. Bank. or to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund, in care of the Latah Federal Credit Union, both at Potlatch.
A covered luncheon will follow the service.
