Offer $5,000 reward in safe heist

A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects in a safe heist from a residence in north central Whitman County, according to Sheriff Brett Myers. The sheriff said a John Deere safe was taken from the residence last Friday night or Saturday morning. The safe contained numerous firearms, cash, rare coins, hundreds of silver dollars, bank notes, jewelry and property deeds. The reward has been offered by a private party....
