Seatbelt stops net 58 tickets

Between Oct. 23 and Nov. 8, Whitman County officers passed out 58 seatbelt citations for the “Click it or Ticket” patrol program.

In Whitman County, the Pullman and WSU Police Departments, and county sheriffs office participated in the extra emphasis patrols which were funded by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

In addition to the seatbelt violations, officers issued two citations for driving under the influence, five for speeding, two for cell phone violation, five for driving without insurance, and three for driving with a revoked or suspended license....
