Lamonters celebrate Thanksgiving

Bonnie Swannack was a guest at the home of Janet and Mark Bowman to celebrate her birthday last Sunday evening. Also present were her husband, Bill, and Tom, Hollie and Tommie Sue Swannack.

Ginny Rajala’s mother is recuperating and gaining her strength after knee surgery at St. Joseph Care Center. Because she wasn’t able to travel, her family took Thanksgiving dinner to the center. Present besides Ginny was her husband, Dave, Penny and PJ Dhillon and son from Kennewick, four sisters and one brother and families. One sister, Carol, is a missionary in Papua, New Guinea and will be returning there in January.

Bill and Bonnie Swannack had as Thanksgiving guests her brother and wife, Dale and Helen Mays from Badger Lake. Also there were Tom, Hollie and Tommie Sue Swannack.

Dan and Jean Stromberger were Thanksgiving guests at the home of Bill and Janet Stromberger in Edwall. Also present were Melissa Stromberger, Newburg, Ore., Aaron and Sarah Stromberger, Eric and Stephanie Stromberger, Angie and Melanie Harper, Jim Hutsinpiller, and Tom Stromberger, all from Spokane. Amy Hutsinpiller Collins and her husband, Ken, and children, KJ and Alex, drove from the coast to join the group.

Denny and Linda O’Keefe had Clint and Christi O’Keefe and children, Colton and Clara at their home for Thanksgiving dinner.

Burke, Liz, Rosie, Tracy and Kelly drove to Kent to spend Thanksgiving vacation with her parents, Phil and Marie Heft.

Thanksgiving dinner guests at the home of Pete and Sandi Swannack were Sandi’s parents, Bob and Diane Martin and Tina Swannack.

Nita and Matt Polda drove to Mt. Vernon Wednesday, Nov. 25, to spend Thanksgiving with David and Sara Polda. On Thursday they took the boat to Center Island where David and Sara are building a cabin.

Thanksgiving dinner was served at the Island club house with 30 Island residents along with the Poldas. Nita and David returned home Saturday.

Thanksgiving dinner at the Don and Sherrill Nelson home included Keith, Staci Nelson and their girls, Kylie and Lilly and Shari Bolden. On Friday, Don and Sherrill brought Marguerite Miller to the ranch to spend several days. Shari and Marguerite returned to their homes on Monday.

Bill and Milly Kay Baldwin arrived early Thanksgiving day to spend the weekend with Bill and Stella Melville. After the Baldwins arrived they joined Dean, Mindy, Bill and Stella Melville for dinner at Ripples on the River in Spokane. On Saturday they all visited Bill and Kendra Moos at their Valley Ford ranch. The Baldwins returned home on Sunday.

Betty Stone hosted Thanksgiving dinner for all of the following guests. Debbie and Kevin Gaffney, Patty and Sonny Ethredge, Carolyn, Harvey, Brett and Ross Behrens, Trichelle Waldo, Georgia and Ed Bageant, Jennifer Larsen, Jo Schirr, Elizabeth Mason, Katie, Eddie and Ellie Bageant.

Evening callers were Bill, Stella, Dean and Mindy Melville and Bill and Milly Kay Baldwin. On Friday Betty returned home with Carolyn and Harvey and helped Brett celebrate his 20th birthday Saturday. Betty returned home Monday.
