Samantha Bafus represented LaCrosse in the Teen Read Week digital picture contest. As one of the grand prize winners she received a $15 iTunes gift card.Santa Claus arrives in town this Saturday, Dec 5, at the TeaPot Cafe at 9:30 a.m. and will be on his way at 11 a.m. Kids can bring their lists and join Santa for breakfast and pictures. There will also be a free drawing for stockings filled with goodies, one for a boy and one for a good girl.
Until further notice, the Spokesman Review will be available to be picked up at the TeaPot Cafe. Mike Stine fell and broke some ribs and will be unable to deliver the paper for a while.
Thursday Dec. 3, the Junior High boys basketball team will play Pomeroy in Washtucna at 4:30 p.m. The first game of the high school season will be Saturday in LaCrosse with Touchet. Girls JV starts at 2, boys JV at 3:30 with girls varsity at 5 and boys varsity at 6:30.
LaCrosse library appreciates everyone who has purchased or donated books for the book sale. All of the proceeds help to fund the children’s programs at the local branch. The book sale will continue to be open the same hours as the library.
Second Monday Club will meet Dec. 7 at the library. Youth in grades K-5 are invited to attend. Crafts and fun games are planned. The session starts at 3:15 p.m. and will end at 4 p.m. The first Second Monday Club of the New Year be Jan. 11.
Storytime meets on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Mothers are welcome to attend with their children to enjoy crafts and stories.
December sessions are today, Dec. 10, and 17. Storytime will resume again January 7.
