Alison Harder, daughter of Ron and Marilyn Harder of Colfax, and Curtis Persons, son of Jerry and Candice Persons of Fife, were married July 10, 2009 at Youngberg Hill Winery in McMinnville, Ore., at 5 p.m.
The Rev. Michael J. Graef, former pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, officiated at the ceremony.
Music for the pre-and post-ceremony was provided by Brian Granse, friend and neighbor of the bride. Ceremony vocals were sung by Elizabeth Delaney Miller, friend of the bride from San Francisco.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory trumpet fit gown with a balloon skirt and sweep train; adorned by asymmetrical ruching throughout the bodice and skirt; ivory fingertip length veil with clear Swarovski crystals scattered around the edges. She carried a bouquet comprised of two dozen ivory and Eskimo roses, large stem ivory hydrangeas, and brown monkey tail ferns.
Matrons of honor were the bride’s sister, Carmen Langum; Vienna, Va., and Rhonda Jeremiah; Spokane.
Bridesmaids were Jenny Baldwin; friend of the couple; Washougal; Nicole Lang; friend of the bride; Portland, Ore .; Stacie Lintvedt Hanson; friend of the bride; Denver, Colo. and Kristi House; friend of the bride; Portland, Ore.
Junior bridesmaid was Kendall Langum; niece of the bride; Vienna, Va.
Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Hayden Jeremiah, Spokane; Paige Langum; Vienna, Va .; Hannah Jeremiah; Spokane, and Summer Jeremiah; Spokane.
The attendants wore knee-length dresses in chocolate brown. The flowergirls wore green and ivory sleeveless dresses with brown satin sashes. The attendants carried bouquets made of ivory and Eskimo Roses, small stem Hydrangeas and green Hypericum berries.
Best Man was James Culmore from Seattle.
Groomsmen were James Oellrich; friend of the groom; Portland, Ore .; Aaron Baldwin; friend of the couple; Washougal; Matthew Walch; friend of the groom; Oregon City, Ore .; Philip Olson; friend of the groom; Puyallup and Erich Knipschild; friend of the groom; Camas.
Ushers were the groom’s brothers, Matthew Persons; Kent, and Lucas Persons; Fife.
Ring Bearers were Jack Jeremiah; nephew of the bride; Spokane; Ayden Carrillo and Taran Carrillo, both nephews of the groom; Wenatchee.
Reception was emceed by Angie Hall, friend of the bride, San Diego, Calif.
Both the ceremony and the reception were on the grounds of Youngberg Hill Winery in McMinnville, Ore., overlooking the Willamette Valley toward the Oregon coastal mountain range.
The bride graduated from Washington State University with a degree in marketing in 2001 and is working as the community banking recruiter for Umpqua Bank in Portland, Oregon. The groom graduated from Walla Walla College in 1998 with a degree in business administration and from Loma Linda University in 2001 with a masters in physical therapy. He is currently working as a physical therapist for The Portland Clinic in Portland.
The couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic following the wedding and now reside in the home they recently purchased in Portland.
