Garfield-Palouse Middle School performs annual winter concert

Garfield-Palouse Middle School students performed their annual Winter Concert Nov. 24 to a full house of enthusiastic family and friends. The sixth grade Concert Band, and the seventh and eighth grade Concert Band, both directed by Ruth Vertrees, each performed holiday numbers and other songs. The Middle School Choir, directed by Rebecca Hemphill, performed two seasonal pieces, and the group was joined by the High School Choir for “Vois sur ton chemin” from the award-winning motion picture “The Chorus,” with seventh graders Tyler Thurman, Karra Teare and Emily Keeney each singing vocal solos. Mary Wiley was the piano accompanist for the choir performances.
