Serving Whitman County since 1877

Hospital highlights - Womacks begin new chapter

Julie and I are delighted about this new chapter in our lives and look forward to sharing it with you. We plan to be very involved with hospital and community activities.

Right now, we are unpacking a seemingly huge number of boxes and settling into our new house. Everyone has provided a warm welcome and we feel right at home.

My plan for the near term is to learn as much as I can from Jon Davis as he retires. Jon has been a pillar of genuine leadership for the hospital and community. His contributions have been felt throughout the region and state. We are all fortunate that he and Kathy will be staying in town.

Next, I will branch out and learn from everyone I can. I want to be as smart as I can be about the community’s health needs so we can serve you well.

I am excited to have this opportunity to serve as the CEO of Whitman Hospital and Medical Center. As we move into 2010, I pledge…

* To be worthy of your trust

* To be patient/customer focused

* To serve our community with gladness

* To work hand-in-glove with our medical staff and commissioners

* To build our future on the good things of the past

If I can be of any service to you at any time, please feel free to stop by the hospital and see me or give me a call at the hospital, extension 365.

David E. Womack,

Whitman Hospital Administrator
