State funding setback: Colfax school count below projections

Colfax school district enrollment is 11.19 students under projections for this year’s enrollment, a gap that will likely lose the district roughly $60,000 in state funding over the year.

The loss of students comes during a particularly difficult financial year for the district, which is already coping with a steep loss in state funding like most districts in Whitman County.
