Christmas fires burn in Colfax

Colfax fire crews were called out Friday morning by a report of smoke in the halls of an apartment at 1018 S. Mill. The smoke was determined to be caused by smoke coming from burned eggs in one of the apartment units.

Eight volunteers responded in fire units and two others arrived with their own vehicles as a response to the alarm which was received at 8:13 a.m. The city’s number-one pumper truck, Brush One response truck, an ambulance and the rescue truck responded to the scene.
