A 16-year-old Spokane girl sustained head and knee injuries Dec. 25 when she lost control of a 2006 Saturn Ion on the Walla Walla Highway on the grade out of Central Ferry. According to the Washington State Patrol report, she was driving southbound at about 4 p.m. when she lost control of the Saturn, crossed the roadway and struck a rock embankment on the other side. She was transported by ambulance to Whitman Hospital.
