Melvilles attend wedding vows

Bill and Stella and Dean and Mindy Melville attended the wedding of La Rena Claassen and Daniel Draper at the Onecho Bible Church Dec. 31. The bride is a teacher of agriculture in the Washtucna School and the groom farms with the Draper Farms.

Allen and Diane Cook attended services at the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Spokane last Sunday. Following the service, they joined Eddie and Seiko Edamatsu of Spokane and Phyllis Edamatsu from Dover, Del., at the Ming Wah Cafe. Phyllis returned to her home on Monday.

Eric Ericson died Jan. 2 in Spokane. He was married to Betty Melville, a sister of Bill and Arno Melville Jr. Betty, a daughter of Arno Melville Sr. was born and raised in Lamont, graduated from Lamont High School and attended Washington State College.

Allen and Diane Cook spent the Christmas holiday with Sandra and Dennis, Logan and Kristen Miller of Kahlotus. The Cooks and Millers attended Christmas Eve services at the Cathedral of Joy Church in Richland. Joining the Millers and Cooks for dinner Christmas Day were Donna and Tracy Durand, Brandon and Teonna, Hermiston, Ore. Donna’s family returned home Christmas evening. The Cooks returned to Lamont on Saturday afternoon.
