Colton hammers Jaguars; Sparts, Tigercats win

Colton girls hammered Tri-Cities Prep 85-22 at Pasco to move their record to 7-0 Tuesday when Whitman clubs rolled into action after the holiday break. The Wildcats shut out the Jaguars 23-0 in the first quarters to set the tone.

Other action saw the Rosalia girls down Garfield/Palouse 36-23 at Garfield, and the LaCrosse/Washtucna Tigercats nip Pomeroy 28-26 at Washtucna.

The Tigercats hosted the Pirates after defeating Odessa 40-13 last Wednesday in the second round of the Dayton tournament. Gladys Martinez led the T-cats with 15 against the Tigers and Della Fleming hit 7.
