Case delayed for treatment

A 90-day stay in the state’s case against Donald Eaden, 53, former Colfax resident who faces two charges of harassment with a threat to kill, was ordered Friday in Whitman County Superior Court. The 90 days was allowed for competency restoration treatment of Eaden at Eastern State Hospital. He will be administered antipsychotic-psycotropic medication in a treatment intended to make him competent to undergo trial.

Eaden was arrested in Colfax Nov. 23 after allegedly making threats against a Colfax couple. He had been residing in Hermiston, Ore. Colfax police had been advised of the threats, and the suspect was arrested in Colfax after coming here from Hermiston.
