David Noble, the Moscow resident who has been charged with hitting two WSU students with a vehicle along Stadium Way Dec. 7, will now undergo treatment at Eastern Washington Hospital for competency restoration. A 90-day stay in proceedings was ordered Jan 14 in his case.
Noble will be administered antipsychotic-psychotropic medications to restore competency so he can undergo court sessions. Doctors at the hospital were authorized to conduct involuntary treatment, if needed.
The court also ordered that results of Noble’s evaluation and the petition for a stay in the proceedings be sealed to protect the defendant’s health information.
Noble, 31, faces two counts of vehicular assault and three other charges which were filed after he was arrested on the WSU campus.
