Rep. Schmick plans telephone town hall

State Rep. Joe Schmick, R-Colfax, wants to answer the questions of the Whitman County public in a telephone town hall session, Thursday, Jan. 28, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Callers can dial in and ask Schmick about anything from state budgets to agriculture to the potential cuts to state education.

Citizens who wish to call in to the live conversation can dial 1-877-229-8493, and then enter pin number 15440.

After the hour-long call, listeners will have a chance to record a voicemail with additional questions.

“I’m excited to once again use this technology to reach out to my constituents who might otherwise be unable to drive over the mountains to Olympia to express their thoughts on the issues,” Schmick said in a press release.
