After tracking Colton for two years, St. John/Endicott girls finally bagged their prey Tuesday night when they out-fought the Wildcats 56-52 on the Colton court. The Eagles used a mix of tough defense and outside shooting to end the Wildcats’ two-year win string at 42 games.
That string included a series of Eagle-Wildcat collisions last year that ended with the Wildcats taking out the Eagles in the first-ever 1B title game at Yakima’s SunDome.
The Eagles win leaves the league tied with the Eagles at Rosalia Friday and the Wildcats at LaCrosse.
