Petty Officer Campbell serves on ship at Haiti

Colfax native Brandi Campbell is serving as a Navy third class petty officer aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan which is currently involved with the Haitian relief effort. The Bataan can produce hundreds of thousands of gallons of water per day.

Campbell serves as one of the ship’s quartermasters who are responsible for navigating the ship. Her father Charles Campbell resides in Colfax.
