Montessori dinner set for Banyan’s

The Montessori School of Pullman benefit dinner for preschool and kindergarten will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 6 at Banyan’s on the Ridge in Pullman.

All proceeds will go to support the Montessori School of Pullman, a school focused in specialized education for children six years and under.

Dinner tickets are now on sale, and must be purchased by March 2 from the Montessori Schoo.

The event will open with a social time followed by a buffet dinner catered by Banyan’s. The dinner menu includes lemon chicken picatta, tortellini, rice pilaf, mixed vegetables, green salad, pea salad and assorted dinner rolls. There will also be a selection of desserts made by Montessori parents.

Retiring teachers Linda Hurley and Sultana Samizay will be honored this year with scholarships in their names which will help children attend Montessori or a teacher to receive Montessori training.

Linda taught as a lead teacher for 19 years, and Sultana as an assistant and French teacher for 23 years

The school is located in the Gladish Community and Cultural Center in Pullman.
