Rick Bates of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada, has been visiting the Broeckel/Gustafson homestead for the last two weeks. He will help with spring work for awhile.

Brady Blankenship celebrated his first birthday with his parents, Phil and Amanda Blankenship, last weekend. Guests included his Grandma Kathy Bell and Aunt Lissa Bell, Colfax; Uncle Eric Bell, Seattle; and sister, eight year old Madison of Palouse.

Kurt Moore, son of Steve and Carol Moore, is serving as a page for Rep. Joe Schmick in the state legislature this week in Olympia.

Denise Kendall, Tacoma, and Doreen Riedner, Genesee, spent several days at the home of their father, Oscar Broeckel, last week. Kendall was on winter break from teaching in University Place and Riedner was on vacation from the ASCS office.

Larry and Di Brink had a family get-together at their home Saturday evening. Attendees included John Brink and Brandi Ahmstead, Colton; Tom Phillips, Las Vegas; Lucky, Joan, Rob and Desiree Myrick, Dusty; Rich Myrick, Moses Lake; Kevin, Amber, Ashley and Kloey Brink, Richland; Don and Carol Keeney and Mike Stine, LaCrosse.

Saturday, Art and Colene Sager flew to Moses Lake for a Flying Farmers meeting.

Last week, Karen Broeckel, Dusty, and Jason Nolan, Colfax, spent Wednesday evening and Thursday in Spokane at the home of Rick and Patty Wieber. Wednesday evening, Broeckel, Nolan and Patty and Brett Wieber attended the Jeff Dunham “Identity Crisis” performance at the arena. Thursday, they enjoyed a shopping excursion to Cabela’s in Post Falls.
