ROSALIA
Yosh and Nan Konishi, proprietors of Pinewood Cottage of Rosalia, have opened a retail store at the north end of their factory warehouse to sell both finished and unfinished furniture. Along with selling their furniture and accessory products, they are adding the creative handmade works of area artists and classic craftsmen.
With 10 consignees in place and many more expected, Pinewood Cottage offers a fine mix of furniture, art in all mediums, and classic handmade crafts,
Grand opening will be April 1-3 and will include many vendors. There will be free popcorn, drinks and cookies, and hourly drawings for gift certificates valued from $5-25 to use toward purchases of any of the store products.
Store hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 10 to 6 and Sunday from noon to 4.
Already open to the public, the store is the first stage of Konishis’ Pine Creek Village plan to provide studio space and a certified community kitchen as a way for the many talented people in the area to make, show and sell their handcrafted products.
Customers can enter the store from the north end loading pad door, 208 W 2nd St.
“The goal has always been to provide an easier way for the many creative people in our area to make and sell their products effectively and efficiently by providing a joint effort and working together,” said Nan Konishi. The 1,600 square foot space still has plenty of additional room.
