Serving Whitman County since 1877
WHMCs mission, vision and values statement hangs on many walls throughout the hospital. If you have ever read it, you may know that our vision for many years has been to “renew and revitalize” the hospital.
As a relative newcomer to the organization I have to say, “Well done!” to the board, staff and community. You have achieved your vision. The recent building projects, equipment upgrades and the dramatic success of customer service efforts are tangible proof of your success.
Now we have a tremendous opportunity to aim even higher. It is time for us to craft a new vision for the future. The wisdom literature tells us that, “Where there is no vision the people perish.” That won’t be us! We are not going to just survive – we are going to thrive. We will think boldly, plan thoroughly and implement practically.
The hospital commissioners and management are stating to grapple with these questions. I encourage you to participate in this process.
What do you want your hospital to be in the year 2020? What health-related services do you want us to offer? How can we help you live a more healthy life? Feel free to contact any of the commissioners, Martin Marler, Steve Moore, John Perry, Kirk Suess and Cherry Alice Van Tine, or me.
We would love to hear your ideas.
David E. Womack, CEO
