Serving Whitman County since 1877
Hospital Commissioners are actively working on tomorrow by creating a Strategic Plan for the future. They will complete this work by the end of the year and seek the community’s input as they move forward. Their first step is to reconsider our Mission, Vision and Values to ensure these accurately reflect what district residents want our hospital to be.
While the Commissioners chart our long-term future, our staff members are actively working on today. They have created a Tactical Plan to guide us through 2010. They organized the plan by key result areas we call “Pillars.” Each Pillar has a statement that describes a desired outcome, measures of the outcomes and actions to achieve the outcome. Our Pillars and desired outcomes are:
* People – Attract, retain and engage great caregivers
* Service – Provide consistently exceptional service
* Quality/Safety – Provide the best and safest care anywhere
* Finances – Ensure sufficient resources to meet current and future needs
* Growth – Provide services that meet community needs
I hope it is obvious that we are deliberately planning for the future. Our goal is to ensure the hospital serves you tomorrow and today.
