March for meals slates twin events

The fourth annual March For Meals campaign for the Council on Aging and Human Services will be April 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. simultaneously at the Colfax High School track and the Pullman City Playfields. Registration will be $10 and includes water, snacks and a souvenir towel. Marchers will be asked to check in beginning at 8:30 a.m. Marchers can pre-register or sign up at the day of the event.

“Our last three March For Meals campaigns have been very successful. We had folks from all over the county come out and march for senior nutrition. It was so inspiring,” said Scott Hallett, council nutrition director.

Each $5 raised will provide a meal to a homebound senior through a variety of methods.

Businesses, organizations or individuals can form a team of marchers or participate through sponsorship.
