With Steptoe Butte in the background, Dick McCulley works up a field just south of Cashup Flat in the Hall family farm’s Versatile tractor. Though spring does not officially begin until Saturday, warm temperatures this winter have already put farmers across Whitman County in the tractor seat for spring work.
